Back Mountain Police Association Clothing Drive

Officer Holly Palchanis participated in a clothing drive for children. This drive was sponsored by the Back Mountain Police Association.  Luzerne County Children & Youth Services were the recipients of the clothing and were extremely happy with the generous amount of clothing that the BMPA paid for and donated.  Officer Palchanis is pictured to the left along with Sergeant Michael Huntzinger, Kingston Township Police and Officer Gina Kotowski and Luzerne County Children & Youth Services representatives.

Lake Noxen Elementary School Field Day 2024

2024 Pack 281 Bike Rodeo

On June 5, 2024, Pack 281 held its 4th annual Bike Rodeo at the Jackson Township Community Park.  The event was mentored by Jackson Township Officers Josh Evans and Michael Kretchmer.  The kids learned bicycle safety and had a blast!  Pictured with the kids are: Officer Evans and Officer Kretchmer.

A MESSAGE FROM CHIEF WILLIAMS:
Hello, my name is Gerald “Jerry” Williams. On April 17, 2021, I was appointed by the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors as the new Chief of Police of Jackson Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

For those of you who do not know me, I come to you with thirty years of police service with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), and an additional five years of past municipal police service, having served in Plymouth Township, Plymouth Borough and Kingston Police Departments.

I held the rank of Captain within the State Police and previously served as the Director, internal Affairs Division, Bureau of Integrity and Professional Standards. Some of my former duties included being the Executive Officer to the Commissioner, Executive Officer to the Deputy Commissioner of Operations, Internal Affairs Investigator, Polygraph Examiner, Criminal Investigator and Patrol Trooper.

I am humbled by the faith and trust the Jackson Township Board of Supervisors have placed in me to move our Police Department forward and I look ahead to this new opportunity to serve the citizens of Jackson Township.
